Case Study
At 43 years old, Natasha exudes resilience and gratitude. Coming into the program on November 4, 2024, Natasha has faced the kinds of challenges that could crush even the strongest spirits. But, she came into Ardella’s House ready to turn her life around. Recently released from prison for theft -mostly stealing clothes to support her children- Natasha faced significant challenges, including a history of heroin use that had held her back for years. After release, with a good relationship with her children already in place, she set her sights on a new path: to complete her Individualized Service Plan (ISP), maintain her sobriety, and pursue Certified Recovery Specialist (CRS) training so she could help others overcome the same struggles she had faced. From the moment she entered Ardella’s House, Natasha embraced the support, tools, and accountability provided by the program. She has been clean since that day—a milestone worth celebrating! With the guidance of the Workforce Development Coordinator, Natasha worked on building healthy coping skills, managing her time, and staying focused on her |

goals. Her hard work and resilience paid off as she successfully enrolled in the CRS training program, which she is expected to complete in a few short months. Natasha has grown more confident and vocal, stepping into her potential with gratitude and determination. She refers to Ardella’s House as her home, a place where she feels safe, supported, and empowered to create a brighter future. Natasha’s journey is a testament to the power of transformation and the mission of Ardella’s House: when women are given the support and tools they need, they can rebuild their lives, break cycles of harm, and inspire others to do the same.
