Domestic Violence Education & Support Program

Picture
Breaking the Silence, Reclaiming the Power

At Ardella’s House, we understand that many justice-impacted women carry invisible scars from abusive relationships. Domestic violence is not just a private struggle — it’s a public crisis that often leads women into the criminal legal system.

Our Domestic Violence Education and Support Program is here to break the silence, build safety, and help survivors reclaim their power. We offer trauma-informed, culturally responsive education and support services designed to help women and girls recognize abuse, understand their rights, and begin the healing process. Whether someone is still in a dangerous situation or carrying the long-term effects of past abuse, we provide tools, support, and community to help them move forward with strength and dignity.

What We Aim to Provide Starting in 2025:
  • Weekly Support Groups that create safe spaces for women to share, heal, and be heard
  • Educational Workshops on recognizing red flags, setting boundaries, understanding the dynamics of abuse, and building healthy relationships
  • Safety Planning & Crisis Intervention for those currently experiencing violence
  • One-on-One Support from trained advocates who walk alongside each woman at her own pace
  • Referrals to legal aid, housing resources, therapy, and emergency services as needed

Who Its For:
Justice-impacted women and girls who have experienced domestic violence — whether before, during, or after incarceration — and who are seeking education, healing, and support in a judgment-free environment.

Why It Matters:

Domestic violence often hides in silence — and silence keeps women stuck. By speaking up, educating ourselves, and standing together, we can end the cycle of violence and create a path to safety and self-worth.
